Lampeter and District Motor Club will be holding a noise test evening, at 6pm on Thursday the 10th of January in Lampeter, where both the 2 metre and 0.5 metre tests will be carried out, in accordance with the 2013 General Regulations.

In 2013 the noise test requirements for all Road Rallies within Wales will be in accordance with the 2 metre noise test, as defined in the 2013 General Regulations of the MSA. This is a requirement of the MSA RLO, and will be strictly enforced throughout 2013.

Lampeter and District Motor Club support the move to try and reduce noise levels on road rallies. During the last 12 months however the club has received positive and negative feedback from both its own members and other competitors. There does seem to be a great deal of concern from some competitors that their competing vehicles may not be able to comply with the new noise requirements instigated by the MSA RLO.
